I’ve just finished ‘Ministry For the Future’ by Kim Stanley Robinson.
It’s a near future Cli-Fi and is probably one of the most thoroughly researched books I’ve ever read (maybe a little too much in places), and subsequently quite the door-stopper.
Unlike many novels and short stories of this genre, this is ultimately a novel of hope and inspiration.
I thoroughly recommend reading it, particularly if you feel like I do at times, okay most times, that there is only doom and gloom in our climate change future.
For me it was the perfect read to start 2021.
